GarageTek has created a versatile and superior tile system for garage flooring. The specially engineered plastic tile uses a six-point interlocking system for increased strength and durability. These garage flooring tiles are slip resistant and stain resistant, making your garage floor safe and easy to clean. It floats above the garage floor for airflow to prevent mildew and trapping of water.

ProTek Modular Floor

Material

Molded with 100% virgin polypropylene for strength and stability. Unlike PVC, vinyl or rubber, polypropylene is a naturally non-porous material that resists the infiltration of outside materials. Though non-porous and resistant to staining, it is recommended to maintain the tiles like any other floor – if something spills on the tiles, it should be immediately cleaned up.

Slip Resistant

This product is ASTM certified (ASTM test E303) at an optimal .66 while dry and .50 while wet friction co-efficient. In general, any material over .75 is considered a tripping hazard because it is too tacky, anything less than .30 is considered a slipping hazard. This product is optimized for safety.

Radiant Flux

Class 1 rating for critical radiant flux at .66 watts/cm2 (ASTM test E648). This is an important test which measures the amount of energy it takes to ignite a substance. Anything above .45 receives a class 1 which is the highest rating meaning the product can safely be used in schools, hospitals, and in other general facilities.

Load Bearing Weight Capacity

The tile top surface stands securely on 783 support legs making this tile one of the most durable on the market. This design is rated at over 200 psi. For comparison, an average car is rated about 35 psi. In addition to its strength, this design allows the concrete underneath to breathe, decreasing the possibility of mold or mildew growth. Each individual tile measures 12 in. x 12 in. and weighs 14.5 ounces.

Smoke Generation

The tiles have a smoke generation rating of 320 (ASTM test E662), which is well within the range for residential flooring. Anything below 450 is the standard for general use.

UV Stabilization

The resin material used in the tiles is engineered for optimal UV stabilization against discoloration from sunlight.

Non-Puddling & Slip-Resistant

The innovative, perforated design of the RibTrax Pro tiles solves common garage floor issues by allowing water and other fluids to pass through its custom engineered channeling system allowing easy maintainenece and cleaning of the tiles using a high pressure hose or an ordinary shop vac.

6-Point Locking Design

Thanks to it’s 6-point, interlocking design, RibTrax Pro tiles ensure the most secure connection in the garage renovation space. The unique design also allows for any tile within the system to be easily removed if needed to access the subsurface or to repair single tiles.
